Recently, Madeleine has become quite the "Little Mama." She has always had a few baby dolls that were special to her, and she would play with them on and off. However, we have had a lot of babies come into our lives in the past year through our family and church friends, so her love for little bitties has grown. She is currently saving her money for a new American Girl doll. This time she wants a Bitty Baby. The recent American Girl catalogue that came to our home a few weeks ago is already in shreds from her carrying it around, folding pages and making note about what she wants. Following Dave Ramsey's advice we created a chore chart for her. Justin even took her to the bank to help her open her own account. Our credit union has a program that gives kids incentives every time they deposit money into their accounts. Madeleine was given a blue plastic piggy bank with slots for save and spend. One chore at a time she is on her way to getting her Bitty Baby, but here are some pictures of babies that she has had the chance to love on until her own baby arrives.
