She's Back!!!!!

Well, you know it has been a long time since your last blog post when you are having a hard time remembering the password to edit the blog. Oh well, that is the way life goes sometimes. The last few weeks have been just a blur of activity. Trying to keep up with my family, school and church responsibilities has left my head spinning many days. The good news is I have a family to love and care for, a good job that I love and a church family that blesses my heart and soul. God is teaching me so much through all of this, and I am sure these are lessons I need to learn. More on that later...but for now...this baby boy is having a birthday on Wednesday!
Micah Turns 4 on April 11th!
I love this sweet boy for so many reasons...here are just a few:

1.) He has such a tender heart. A few weeks ago Madeleine caught him trying to sneak a neighborhood cat into our home. Somehow, he had decided that the cat was not getting enough attention from his owners, so Micah was going to right the situation by adopting him. FAIL! Those were definitely Justin's genes speaking to him at that moment; however, I love that fact that he has a heart that cares.

2.) He loves his friends. Very seldom do I pick Micah up from school that he does not have to run and give goodbye hugs to one of the kids standing near him. He is very much a "people person." Children's workers at church,  Walmart employees, nursing home residents and random strangers all seem to love my boy. People love Micah, and Micah loves people.

3.) He knows exactly what to say to melt my heart. "Mama, I love your shirt." "Mama, I love your beautiful rug." "Mama, this supper was delicious." Seriously, I am going to have to watch him around the girls because he knows all the right words to say to make me smile.

4.) He adores his sis. Micah and Madeleine play very well together (most of the time). They are just now getting to the age where ridiculous fights break out at the weirdest moments. However, 85% of the time they cannot get enough of each other. Micah pretty much will do whatever Madeleine tells him to do, and she LOVES to tell him lots of things to do. One of their favorite games is "Miss Madeleine's Class." Poor Micah gets report cards and homework all the time. I went upstairs this week and found all sorts of posters where Madeleine had been teaching him stuff. It is quite the show!

5.) He loves Jesus. Micah knows a lot about the Bible from the amazing teachers at church and stories we have read together at home. He has such a pure an innocent heart, and I love to hear him talk about God. This week his big thing has been to say many times, "You know Easter is not really about the Easter bunny." I have never one time said this to him, but I am sure some adult has told him this. It amazes me how much he really understands. I pray that God will continue to work in his tender heart as he grows and matures.

We love you so much, Micah Brinkley Jones!
