Why Can't They Stay Little?

When Micah turned two last April we moved him from his crib to the twin bed that was also in his bedroom. He adjusted quickly and has done really well sleeping in a regular bed without any additional contraptions. But, our goal was to eventually convert his crib into the full size bed and buy new a new mattress set and bedding for his official big boy bedroom. I was holding off on getting all this done to see how quickly our house would sell, but it looks like it might take longer than we had hoped for. So, last week I ordered the conversion kit for the crib from Baby Furniture Plus. Micah wanted to have sports balls on his bedding. He knew that I had been shopping around for a while, and every sports bedding set we saw he wanted to buy. Finally, I found the set I was looking for on Amazon over the Christmas break. It is absolutely adorable, and it came in the mail last week. Now, the conversion set is still on order, and we have not yet purchased his new mattresses. In the meanwhile I had just placed the new bedding over on his old crib (which we took the bar off of) for storage. In the back of my mind, I am still hoping that we will move before any big changes are made. Long story longer...Micah loves his new bedding so much that he has been pulling it up onto the end of his bed every night, so that he can sleep with it. Is this the cutest thing ever? I had to sneak in to his room tonight to snap a picture. I think this will definitely be one of the pictures I put in a frame when we finally get his new bedroom set up. This is a memory I want to keep forever.
