Today has been one of those long, hot, lazy days of summer. Not only is it hot outside, but unfortunately for us it is hot inside too. The HVAC unit in our home is about 10 years old, and it is breathing its last breaths. The new unit should be in on Monday to the tune of about $4,100 dollars! YIKES! We have a small house. I cannot even begin to fathom how much the bigger units cost, but you sure cannot live in SC without cool air. Thank goodness for the Dave Ramsey emergency fund. That was the smartest financial decision we ever made. Tonight we opened up all our windows, and the cool rain has brought much wanted relief from the heat with some ocassional breezes as well. Madeleine, Micah and I decided to have a little game night to pass the time before bed tonight. I was thinking low-activity was the way to go in the heat. After two rounds of Candyland we brought out the big guns...OPERATION! Madeleine received this game from Uncle Matt for her birthday, but for some reason she was totally freaked out by the buzzer. So, tonight was the first time that she really wanted to play, and that meant that Micah Boo wanted to be in on the action too. Now, we have a lot of friends out there who are expecting their second child or are in the planning process. And, we have a lot of friends who are already in the trenches. You always hear people say, "If you can handle the changes that come with two kids, than adding more after that is not as hard." I can pretty much guarantee that we won't be testing that theory in the Justin Jones household, but I really think this video showcases the joy of having two monkeys to contain...I mean entertain. I wouldn't trade either one of them for all the money in the world, but we can negotiate if you happen to have an extra $4,100 laying around. Enjoy!
