The playset is here! The playset is here! Last night Bill from Outdoor Wood Furniture came over to set up our playground. At his store in West Columbia he sells a set from Creative Playthings. He arrived at around 7:30, and he had the job completed by 9:30. I'm telling you this guy was FABULOUS! He brought in most of the playset already assembled on a large trailer. We shopped around a lot to find just the right set for the kids that would not be too over the top or too babyish for Madeleine. If you have ever shopped for a playset, you know that the cost can run from the hundreds to thousands of dollars depending upon how fancy you want to make it. Then there is the fun task of putting it together after you have purchased it. I would consider Justin and I to be pretty capable people at figuring out most jobs around the house; however, I was a little intimidated at the thought of safely putting together a playset and making sure that is was level for the kids. Not to mention the fact that it would have probably taken us many days to accomplish what this man did in 2 hours. Our playset looks amazing, and the kids have already played and played on it. I was not sure if Micah would be able to climb alone, but the boy is handling it just fine. If you are ever in the market for one of these sets, we highly recommend Bill's store and expertise. We still have to frame the border and lay the cypress mulch, but that will have to wait until we get back from our vacation in July. Hooray for outdoor fun!
