Watch Out Summer...Here We Come!

We have had a great weekend visiting with my parents and spending some fun time together as a family. On Friday night we had the pleasure of coming to a party at my mom and dad's home. Mom was having her Sunday School class over for a cookout. The sky turned black, and we heard thunder roll but no rain appeared. She had a quite a spread with steaks, veggies, potatoes, salad and lots of yummy desserts. Needless to say, we pigged out.
On Saturday we woke up and drove down to Huntington State Park for some beach fun. Madeleine stayed in the water the whole time. She is quite the fish. Mimi dug a huge hole for Micah and filled it with water. He was quite content and splashed in the mud and played in the sand. And, I took a much needed nap in the sun. In the afternoon we went over to Brookgreen Gardens. We were able to visit a fantastic butterfly garden and walk through the zoo area, but the gardens were closed at 5:00, so we will have to do that part another time. To finish off our fun day we went to Murrell's Inlet for a seafood dinner. It was a great day, and we made it back to Florence before it was even dark, so I had time to get all the church clothes ready which makes Sunday mornings run so much more smoothly. We have 3 days of school left next week, and we will be officially on summer vacation. I can't wait!
