Halloween 2009

Another Halloween has come and gone for the Jones family. Last year Micah was a deer and just rode around in the stroller. This year he is mobile, and it is a whole new world. I wanted Madeleine and Micah to have costumes that went together. After some coaxing I convinced Madeleine to go with the Jack and Jill theme. I am hoping that we will be able to recycle her costume for the Nursery Rhyme parade in kindergarten. But, she does have Jones genes, so I will be lucky if it still fits her by next fall. Micah made the perfect Jack. I think he just has that look about him.
Grandma Jones came down this week to keep the kids because Justin and I went to a Guster concert in Charlotte. She was able to go with us to Boo at the Zoo. We went early which was definitely a good decision since I saw a line of people drooling over our parking space as we left. On Halloween night we went trick-or-treating with the Painters and Carters. After a few speeches about Halloween etiquette the kiddos were off. There were at least 3 wipe outs and 1-2 "you took my candy" moments, but all in all we had a great evening.

Who says the bucket has to be just for collecting candy? Should we be concerned?
I was sure the goat was going to eat Micah's hat!

In this first picture I was trying to get Micah to dance to "Thriller" with me. He was not amused.
