Family Weekend Getaway

We had an extra special treat this past weekend. Our family was able to take a brief little trip to Myrtle Beach. Justin and I both took off early from work on Friday to head out of town. We arrived at our weekend home away from home and settled right in. Mimi Brinkley was able to come with us for a bit too. This is the view that we woke up to on Saturday morning.

We went out for a delicious breakfast, did a little antique shopping and Christmas shopping at Barefoot Landing and headed to Madeleine's jumprope showcase. This year Madeleine has been part of the Lightning Strikes Jumprope teams at LMES. She really is quite the athlete...go figure! Anyway, it was so much fun to watch all of the kids do their tricks and work as a team. We are truly blessed to be part of a school with so many supportive parents and special programs for students. I was very proud of all of the kids.
