Me- What? I cannot believe that milk is over $4.00 a gallon. That is crazy!
Madeleine- Yeah, it's Abraham Lincoln's fault.
Madeleine- Well, you know. It's the President's fault.
Me- Ummm, Madeleine Abraham Lincoln was the President a long time ago. So, the high price of milk cannot be blamed on him.
Madeleine- Oh yeah, I mean it is Barak Obama's fault.
(Insert the snickering laughter here of every adult within earshot of this conversation.)
Me- Madeleine, where do you hear these things?
On Saturday in the car Madeleine was schooling Micah on the fact that China was stealing all of the American talent. She proceeded to pick up every item within her reach of her carseat and read the label to prove that most products come from China...including Micah's stuffed Disney dog. I am just taking it all in trying not to laugh my head off. I could not make this stuff up if I wanted to.
Moral: If Madeleine Jones is in the room, watch what you say because she will be quoting you in public next week! She is one sharp six year old kid...even if she is my own!
