1st Swim of the Summer

Today we had an extra special treat. Our neighborhood pool opened on May 1st. Everyday when we come home from school Madeleine can see the children playing and splashing in the cool, blue water. She always asks, "Mama, can we PLEASE go to the pool today?" Usually, I am always in the position of leaving 1,000 things at school that I need to do only to come home to the 2,000 I need to do at home. But, today was the day. I managed to get away from school at a decent time, pick her up from daycare, get in the bathing suit and make our way down to the pool. Both of the kids were thrilled, and thankfully Daddy agreed to get supper started. This whole kid thing would be a big mess for me without my sweet hubby! We had a great time, and Madeleine made friends the moment she walked in the gate. Micah thinks he can swim now, so I really have to watch him closely.  It is a really nice pool, and I plan to spend LOTS of time there this summer playing, relaxing and just hanging out with my boos (and friends or family who want to come too--bring it on RP and HH)!
