Normally we stay home for Labor Day weekend and try to recover from going back to school for those first few weeks, but this year we tried something different. One of our friends suggested the idea of renting a house at Edisto for the weekend. With hurricane season looming upon us I knew it would be rolling the dice as far as the weather went, but we decided to go for it. I am so glad we did because it turned out to be a perfect weekend get-away for all of us. My friend Julie put it best, "I felt like I was cheating on a beach diet." You see going to the beach is a treat for us each summer, and usually we don't get to sneak in a little extra beach time after school starts, but this year was the exception. We ate, and ate, and ate and laughed and read and slept and just had fun with the kids. It was the perfect end to our beach 2010 season. Here are some of the highlights below.
